Welcome! I'm Barbra Waldare, founder of
Doggie View.
I've spent the last 27 years working with dogs and owning my own businesses in the pet industry.
I have consulted for 100's of clients over the last 10 years. I have helped people own their own successful dog day care business.
I made the decision not to offer franchises, but instead offer consulting services so the client can own their own business 100% and put their own touches on it. I did not feel right taking a huge fee to just use my name and to take continuing fees from someone. So, this is the path I chose.
I try to learn what each client wants in their facility so I can consult for them accordingly to be successful. Not all client's want the same thing. Remember at the end of the day it is your doggie daycare and you have to be happy with it!
Do not be fooled by promises of income by people. Not to scare you, but there is no
guarantee
in business. When I open a day care for someone I take in consideration their income needs so we can try to get a facility with that potential.
Do not be fooled by people selling books, franchises or even consultants that do not have vast experience behind them in setting up and operating dog day cares. Research what makes them an expert and then you can decide what path works best for you.
Lately people have been asking me if it is a good time to open a business. My answer has been I can understand why someone would be nervous opening a business with the economy lately. I tell them that the people that I have opened recently have not appeared to be feeling the affects of the economy. Their numbers have been strong.
During my years of owning, operating and consulting in the dog day care industry I have listened to my client's needs and the needs of people using a dog day care. My program has been designed with that in mind. My goal is to help people all over the world open dog day cares with a warm home away from home feel.
American spending in the pet industry has nearly doubled in the last decade.
In 2007 people spent $41.2 billion dollars on their pets in the US alone.
Americans have spent an estimate of $3.2 billion dollars on pet services in 2007.
What's Being Said “After looking at franchises and being shocked
at the high cost, I ran across Barbra’s website,
called her and got a whole different feeling than I got
when I talked to the franchise people. I knew right away
that Barbra cared, that she has a passion for what she
is doing helping people get started – and for a much
more reasonable fee. She helps you make the right decisions.
She tells you what you need to know, even if that’s
not what you want to hear. She helps you be successful.”
“What I spent on the help from Barbra is less than
I would have spent correcting the mistakes I would have
made in the design and layout of the day care itself.”
“Franchising is an option for some people, but not
for me. I don’t like the idea of being controlled
by someone else. Barbra provides the skeleton of all you
need to know to set up and operate an excellent dog day
care business.”
